“Time in nature is not leisure time; it's an essential investment in our chidlren's health (and also, by the way, in our own).” -Richard Louv, Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder

Nothing brings me joy like seeing this little guy playing in the dirt. Clothes can always be cleaned. All the laundry and showers are worth watching his sweet creative soul thrive. This is a daily occurrence in our backyard and we are ever so grateful to live here in the city and still enjoy nature on a daily basis. We watch a movie once every 3 or 4 weeks, but don't find much time for that sort of thing when we are busy learning about our world.
